According to reports, Tekashi 6ix9ine, né Daniel Hernandez, has been arrested on Tuesday (Oct. 29) for an unspecified alleged violation of his supervised release.

The “FEFE” rapper was arrested in 2018 on charges of racketeering and conspiracy to commit murder. He pled guilty to the charges and testified against the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods gang. He was released in 2020 and placed on supervised release.

A year after catapulting to fame with his hit song “Gummo,” 69 was arrested by federal authorities and indicted on racketeering, drug trafficking and weapons charges, along with several other members of the Bloods gang. At the time he was facing the possibility of over 30 years in prison, if convicted.

Amid his troubled rise to fame — which also caused him to be dubbed a “rat” in the public eye — the 28-year-old’s popularity grew more with 2018 singles “Kooda,” “Keke” and “Billy.”

Along his Hip-Hop journey, the New Yorker developed several conflicts with other rappers for his trolling and disrespectful antics. Tekashi has beefed with Casanova, Trippie Redd, Pi’erre Bourne, The Game, YG, J Prince Jr. and others.

Back in 2020, the rapper spoke about snitching and compared it to other wrongdoings his former cohorts did to him. “Before I broke the street code, how many times was it broken to me? ‘It’s all about honor, loyalty.’ Well, let’s talk about if sleeping with somebody’s girl is honor, kidnapping somebody is honor, stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from them is honor, trying to kill them is honor,” he told The New York Times. “‘Snitching’s not street!’ But street is taking advantage of one of your homies?”
