T100 London start list REVEALED: World’s best triathletes head for EPIC showdown in the capital

Reading Time: 3 minutes

The world’s best triathletes will head for London next month for an EPIC showdown as the T100 Tour hits town – including Britain’s very own IRONMAN World Champion Lucy Charles-Barclay.

The 30-year-old reached the summit of the sport last October when she produced an utterly dominant performance to finally rule on the ‘Big Island’ of Kona in Hawaii. She had earlier finished second on four separate occasions.

Charles-Barclay will face three other Kona winners in the London spectacular on Saturday July 27 – American Chelsea Sodaro, Germany’s brilliant Anne Haug and the ‘Angry Bird’ herself – five-time IRONMAN World Champion Daniela Ryf.

To add to a tantalising mix, the start list also includes Aussie superstar Ashleigh Gentle, who has been sensational since stepping up to middle distances from short-course racing.

British interest galore

There is also a ton of British interest apart from Charles-Barclay – with Kat Matthews, Emma Pallant-Browne, India Lee and Lucy Byram all set to line up on home soil.

If all that isn’t enough, brilliant German Laura Philipp and Canadian superstar Paula Findlay will also be dangerous opposition, along with fleet-footed French star Marjolaine Pierre and Canadian Tamara Jewett.

Topping off a sensationally deep field are Swiss star Imogen Simmonds and New Zealand ace Amelia Watkinson.
