Get spiritual
Kakao Games’ Guardian Tales is getting a major new update
Explore World 20 in the sakura-soaked Motor Mountain
Befriend a new spirit-wielding hero in the form of Dohwa
Kakao Games’ Guardian Tales is once more expanding with the addition of World 20, Motori Mountain. This sakura-soaked Japanesque mountainscape takes players into a spiritually-infused land of shrines and temples to explore. That’s alongside a new spirit-wielding companion to befriend.
Dohwa, heir of the soul mage family is the main focus of this latest update. The only person who can wield spirits to vanquish the evil yokai, you’ll work with them to discover secrets that have been kept beyond the grave.
To celebrate these new additions, Kakao Games are offering a special hero pickup event from now until November 26th, as well as a commemorative event to mark the addition of world 20, where fans can compete in rift stage missions in order to get points that can be exchanged for a huge variety of rewards.
Sakura viewing
Dohwa looks to be an interesting new addition to the Guardian Tales lineup, what with her obvious inspiration from Japanese shrine maidens and other traditional historical religions. Kakao Games also seem to realise that winter is also the time of year when there’ll be a lot of competition from top games, because they’re also instituting a new free summon event until November 25th to attract players in, granting them a total of 50 summon tickets (10 per-day) to help fill out their roster of characters and equipment!
