Over the last few titles, Ultimate Team has had some changes. One of the most important for assembling a squad since EA FC 24 has been Evolutions. This is a way to level up player cards you already have.
Rather than constantly searching for better players, Evolutions give you a bit more freedom. You can them to boost the stats of your players. Allowing a lesser player to fill the gap you need, or taking a great player to the level beyond.

Those are the EA FC 25 EVOs that we’ve seen so far. However, if the last game’s Evolutions are anything to go by there’s a lot more planned. EA FC 25 Evolutions could end up being quite an important part of the game’s balance.
What Are EA FC 25 Evolutions?
Evolutions are a system in EA FC 24 to upgrade a player. They have one big pay-off for players, adding to a player’s stats and playstyles.
By using an evolution on a player, you’ll be able to increase their stat values and often add extras, like more playstyles. These can help to make any player the powerhouse of your team.
To match their pay off though, there are limitations. It isn’t set up so the EA FC 25 Evolutions can work on the best player in the game to make them unstoppable. There are limitations to what players can be used.
Only players who meet the requirements can go through the evolution. They’ll need stats in a certain range and typically need to be in the right position to take advantage of it.
While the requirements limit who you can use, there are still plenty of players you can make use of here.
Limits
These EA FC 25 Evolutions are those from the launch of the game, but these do come and go. There’s a limit to the time you get to use them.
Each Evolution can only be used once. After that, it’s done. You also have a time limit on some of these that you’ll need to use them before.
An evolved player is also tied to you forever. You can’t trade them anymore once the evolution has happened.
Multiple EA FC 25 Evolutions
If, for some reason, you want to use as many EA FC 25 EVOs on one player as possible, you can do this. You can continue to upgrade a player over and over to make them even more powerful.
However, since there are requirements and often a max OVR rating, you’ll likely hit a cap on these for a single player relatively quickly. In theory, you can use as many of these as you want, but it’ll be difficult to make more than one work for most players.
The Price of EA FC 25 EVOs
Now the difficult part, is any of this free? There’s a mixed bag. Just like the EA FC 24 Evolutions, a lot of the initial offerings are free. However, that’ll change.
More Evolutions will eventually be on offer for purchase later. These can be for FC Points or Coins. While it’s unfortunate you need to spend to keep up, this is kind of par for the course in EA FC 25.
Cosmetic Evolutions
Those aren’t the only methods to evolve a card. You can also make use of EA FC 25 Cosmetic Evolutions. Kind of like the normal EVOs, these are a way to adapt a card.
The EA FC 25 Evolutions will instead just change cosmetic details, not statistics or gameplay. They can change the color of cards or other cosmetic details. These are really just for fine-tuning the visuals.
Evolutions are one strand to improving your chances in EA FC 25. You can also make use of other advantages in areas of the game, like using the best EA FC 25 settings. With Evolutions, you can open up any player in the game to be a more worthy inclusion.
