After years of waiting, in 2023, Michael ‘Venom’ Page finally signed with the UFC, producing a sensational performance against Kevin Holland in his debut in the promotion.

However, his momentum was quickly halted by Ian Machado Garry, who utilized his superior wrestling to edge out a razor-close decision.

However, rather than letting the loss deter him, the Londoner is working hard on his grappling inside the gym.

And with that considered, he’s jumped at the opportunity to step up to the plate and face Carlos Condit.

Page will go toe-to-toe with the former UFC interim champion in a middleweight grappling match-up at Polaris 30 on November 2 at Fairfield Halls in London, UK.

The clash will push the former kickboxing world champion to his limits, as Condit possesses a purple belt in 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu.

However, in a testament to the Englishman’s self-belief, he’s ready to test himself, likely dramatically increasing his skills in this area for when he returns to the UFC.

Will Michael ‘Venom’ Page ever fight Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson?

While his match-up with Condit will likely excite, hardcore combat sports enthusiasts are still desperate to see Page go to war with Stephen Thompson, in the cage.

The bout would pit together two of the greatest strikers of all time in a clash destined to provide intrigue in abundance.

In an interview with Sporf, ‘MVP’ discussed a potential fight with ‘Wonderboy’, saying: It’s a difficult one; they’d have to pay us a lot of money because we’re good friends. So, it’s definitely a tricky one. But 100%, I think just for the fans, it may happen.”

Therefore, with the pair both coming off losses, the MMA community may finally get the battle it so desperately craves.
