More and more friends (plus my own mom!) over the years have extolled the benefits of mushroom coffee to me, but I still hadn’t taken the plunge. That is, until we partnered with The Kind Coffee Cooperative, who sent me some of their new mushroom coffee to try.
Made with micro-ground arabica beans, structured aloe, and organic lion’s mane mushrooms, I — reluctantly. I admit it! — gave it a shot. I’ve long been intrigued by the benefits of functional mushrooms like lion’s mane, which people swear helps improve focus, alertness, and gut health, all of which I can use. Especially the gut health.
TMI?
What really got me interested, even beyond the ingredients, is the fact that the Kind Coffee Cooperative has partnered with Kindness.org, donating $5 of every pack purchased, to help support the non-profit’s K-8 social-emotional learning curriculum. The cooperative also supports sustainable farming practices, provides fair wages for farmers, and meaningfully supports veterans in need.
