HTC has launched a new tool that simplifies the creation of metaverse games
Known as “Viverse Create,” it removes the need for game creators to learn how to code
The feature is meant to simplify game creation in HTC’s Viverse metaverse platform

Tech firm HTC is increasing its metaverse exploration with the launch of Viverse Create. Viverse Create simplifies the development of games in the metaverse by removing the need for creators to learn coding to create such games and experiences. The feature will be available to those wishing to engage web3 gamers on HTC’s metaverse platform Viverse, a move that’s likely targeted to bring more entities to Viverse and the metaverse world in general.

Platform Will Support Novices and Existing Developers

According to HTC, gamers can use the new feature to build games that can be played on computers, smartphones, and virtual reality devices. HTC’s Andranik Aslanyan disclosed that Viverse Create is meant to open up the metaverse to more people through a “simple, secure, joinable link.”

The new toolkit also supports experienced game and metaverse developers by allowing them to import their assets into Viverse. HTC also recently announced Polygon Streaming which allows entities to import “high-fidelity, interactive 3D models into their workflows.”

HTC’s new Viverse Create toolkit comes when tech giants are increasingly interacting with blockchain technology. Sony, for example, recently filed a patent showing interest in NFTs . The patent disclosed that Sony wants to build a platform to facilitate the trading of in-game collectibles.

LG and Samsung Also in the Game

LG, another tech heavyweight, has in the past announced interactions with the metaverse. In one of those instances, the company said it’s working to enable metaverse access directly from LG smart TVs. In May, it partnered with Korea’s Yonsei University to launch a metaverse campus .

Samsung is also exploring the blockchain and has expressed interest in building a chip to power crypto mining, creating a blockchain certification tool, and has also applied for blockchain patents.

With HTC simplifying the creation of metaverse games, it’s to be seen whether it’ll help bring more people to the metaverse.
